1. 100% Client-Side Architecture

The core of mcKIT operates entirely inside your web browser:

Zero Server Texture Uploads: When you import a cape texture, skin PNG, or graphic into CapeRenderer, CapeMaker, or CapeFixer, the files are processed strictly in your device's memory using WebGL and Canvas APIs.
Your files never leave your computer. We do not store, copy, or transmit your images to any external backend server.

2. Local Storage and Preferences

mcKIT uses your browser's local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) exclusively to save:

Theme settings (Light / Dark mode preference)
UI state (e.g., active tools, camera poses, custom palette colors)
Local workspace drafts (saved only on your own device)

You can clear this data at any time through your browser's settings.

3. Account & Discord Authentication

You can use all core mcKIT tools completely anonymously with no account required.
If you choose to connect your Discord account via the login button, authentication is handled securely through Discord's official OAuth flow. We only receive your public Discord username, avatar, and identifier needed to identify your session. We never request access to your private Discord messages, servers, or passwords.

4. Third-Party Analytics & Cookies

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
We do not serve third-party advertising or commercial tracking cookies on mcKIT.

5. Children's Privacy

mcKIT is designed for the general Minecraft player community and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
